Jeffrey Rice, CPSS, PWS

Jeffrey Rice is the founder of ABC Soil, LLC. He grew up in Fredericksburg, OH and participated in FFA Soil Judging and Envirothon in high school. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science (Soils Concentration) and a Minor in Crop Science. He participated on Ohio State’s Collegiate Soil Judging Team. He began his career as an environmental consultant primarily conducting wetland delineations and Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit Applications for the horizontal drilling industry and commercial development projects. During this time he also did soil testing for stormwater management practices. He was also active in managing activities on his family farm relating to soil fertility testing, biosolid use, and crop production. Upon becoming a Certified Professional Soil Scientist in 2017, he became eligible to conduct soil evaluations for OSSTS/Septic in Ohio. This has become the primary professional service that he provides and conducts most of his work in Northeast, North Central, and Eastern Ohio.
